Beauty of Creation
One of the biggest things I took away from our trip to Rwanda was how clearly I could see God’s creation everywhere around me. From the moment we got on the plane, I kept thinking about how huge and beautiful His world is. Looking out the window at the clouds, sunsets, and sunrises felt so peaceful and reminded me of how creative and powerful God is. It is easy to get caught up in everyday life, but being up in the sky looking out over everything made me stop and really appreciate the world He created.
When we got to Rwanda, that feeling only grew stronger. The scenery was absolutely beautiful everywhere we went. There were green hills everywhere you looked, banana trees lining the roads, bright rainbows after the rain, and so much natural beauty all around us. Visiting the coffee farm was also such a cool experience because it showed how much life and growth comes from the land there. Rwanda is such a beautiful country, and I constantly found myself amazed by it.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was going on the African safari. Seeing all of the animals in their natural habitat was something I will never forget. Watching elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and other animals roaming freely reminded me of how detailed and intentional God is in His creation. Every animal was so unique, and it was amazing getting to see them living in the environment God made for them.
But more than anything, the people impacted me the most. So many people we met were full of true joy and kindness. I will never forget the smiles on people’s faces everywhere we went. It reminded me that every single person is made in the image of God, no matter what they look like or where they live. We are all His beloved children!
This trip reminded me to slow down and appreciate both the beauty of creation and the beauty of people. I saw God in the landscapes, the animals, the community, and the joy of the people we met. Rwanda is a place I will never forget, and I am so thankful for everything it taught me.
